Description
Tyrrell 001 – 1970 Canadian GP – Jackie Stewart
The first of Tyrrell’s own cars, the ‘001’ saw its debut at Circuit Mont-Tremblant for the Canadian GP in 1970. Qualified on pole by Jackie Stewart the car proved at first to be fast but unreliable, retiring with a broken axle while leading. But Formula One was soon to be taken by storm by this small UK team, with the same design taking Stewart to the title in 1971. This icon of Formula One history is now available for the first time in Scalextric form, appearing as it did at that first Formula one race in Canada.
