You have heard us say it before. CMC has done it again. Even though this model is related to the SSKL Mille Miglia winner that came out a few years ago, it looks and feels like a completely different car. As with the Bugatti's and Alfa's of the day, by the addition or removal of fenders and lights, one could enter Grand Prix events or sports car races. Whereas an Alfa or Bugatti still seem the same car either way, the big Mercedes is transformed into a completely different animal. Its 1931 German Grand Prix victory took 4 hours and 38 minutes, at an average speed of over 100 km/h! This was achieved with both driver Rudolf Caracciola and co-driver Wilhelm Sebastion on board at the legendary Nurburgring. An amazing victory and an amazing model. |
